Today’s smart home gateways, routers, hubs, TVs, set-top streamers, speakers, and many other devices have one thing in common: they are transforming from Wi-Fi only to multiprotocol IoT operation. New protocols like Matter and Thread will complement Wi-Fi, providing unified connectivity and control across smart home protocols, ecosystems, and devices.
